About the Ensemble RAPSODY
Founded in the summer of 2020 by graduates of the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, the RAPSODY String Ensemble unites talented young musicians from the city’s leading orchestras and theaters.

Today, RAPSODY is a recognizable cultural brand of Saint Petersburg.

The ensemble regularly performs at prestigious venues such as the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, the White Hall of the Polytechnic University, the Oktyabrsky Grand Concert Hall, as well as concert spaces in Pavlovsk, Tsarskoye Selo, Yelagin Island, the Cathedral of Kaliningrad, and other renowned cultural centers.

A hallmark of RAPSODY’s performances is the unique blend of string and organ harmonies, creating an unforgettable musical experience.

Our Musicians
Tatiana Kozub
My name is Tatiana Kozub, and I am an art director of the Rhapsody Violin Ensemble. For me, this ensemble is more than just a workplace. It is a family where each of us puts her heart and soul into the music, and together we create a unique sound that melts the hearts of our audience.

My role is not only to play the violin, but also to guide, inspire, and support the team. I am responsible for choosing the repertoire, organizing rehearsals and concerts, as well as promoting the ensemble creative evolution. It is important not only to perform music, but also to convey emotions and tell stories through every note.

Our band has a special atmosphere: we are all different, but we are united by one goal to create beautiful, live music. Over the years, we have performed at prestigious festivals and concert venues, and we have achieved great success. We continue to develop as a team. It matters a good deal to me that Rhapsody remains a place where music is created with love and professionalism, and every performance is a small miracle. I am proud to be a part of this amazing band, and I look forward to new creative achievements together with our team.
Gleb Kuznetsov
My name is Gleb Kuznetsov. For several years now, I have been playing in the Rhapsody ensemble of violinists, a group where I am not just a musician, but the only man among bright, talented, and charismatic female violinists.
The viola is an instrument that doesn't seek to be in the highlight, but it's essential for a true musical experience. In our ensemble, I serve as a connecting thread, providing support, balance, and cohesion. Sometimes, I remain in the background, but I'm always at the heart of the music. I enjoy being a pillar, not only musically but also personally. The female ensemble has a unique atmosphere, and I've learned to be delicate yet reliable, gentle yet confident.

In addition to my instrument performance I carry out an important role of a music librarian. I file our music archive, prepare scores for the rehearsals and performances and, if necessary, I edit or copy out string parts. Sometimes, I feel like I know our repertoire not only by heart, but even each individual note roughly. I enjoy being the person who ensures order in music, both visually and practically.

Staying with Rhapsody for many years, I've had the opportunity to perform on various stages - from intimate venues to large festival halls. I've participated in the international tours, awards, and album recordings. But the most important aspect is the sense of unity. We breathe together.
Yarova Martina
My name is Yarova Martina, and I am the creator of the RAPSODIA String Ensemble project.

From the very beginning, I managed to bring people together and turn this idea into reality. I became the person who assembled the team, infused it with character and vibrant energy. For several years now, RAPSODIA has existed and evolved, holding a special place in my life — it is my joy, my pride, and an important part of my creative journey.

A large team of people worked on the creation of this project. Arrangements were written, concert programs developed, stage and performance concepts carefully thought out, costumes designed, and photo sessions organized. All of this became part of a unified artistic vision for the ensemble — a holistic space where music merges with aesthetics and stage culture.

I am convinced that music and aesthetic beauty are inseparable. The RAPSODIA String Ensemble is a space where the academic tradition, stage culture, and a modern sense of beauty come together.

I am incredibly grateful and happy that this project has resonated with the hearts of its participants. It is especially important to me that the musicians are engaged, that this format is close to them, and that they feel at home within it. Over time, it became clear that this resonance extends far beyond the ensemble itself — it is reflected in the hearts of our audience as well.
